All AJT testing machines are designed and manufactured according to customer specifications, specifically for simple load testing, destructive testing, cyclic testing, and long-duration load testing of all types of materials (optional gripping fixtures available).

Operator usability and safety are always at the forefront of every AJT design, ensuring compliance with all relevant machinery directives and standards:

  1. The machine can be supplied with manually or hydraulically operated safety enclosures, incorporating coded magnetic interlock switches. This ensures that the machine remains in a safe condition while operators are preparing it for testing.

  2. The horizontal tensile testing machine model has proven to be the most popular design among our customers. It offers the capability to perform proof load testing, destructive testing, and long-duration cyclic testing of samples across a wide range of industries.

  3. Using a modular construction, the machine can be manufactured to any required length and extended at a later date if necessary.

    A traveling carriage is included, providing the advantage of multiple test lengths along the entire length of the machine.

  4. The operator control system can range from simple manual operation to PLC or fully PC-controlled systems, each with the option of additional data acquisition for product verification and certification.

  5. All AJT testing machines are equipped with our in-house manufactured load cell, mounted on the tension fork, featuring a multi-bridge strain gauge, temperature compensation, and sealed zero balance, calibrated in accordance with ISO 7500-1:2004.

 

  •  AJT has supplied machines of this type with capacities ranging from 5 tons (11,000 lbs) up to 2000 tons (4,400,000 lbs) of force.

 

 

AJT horizontal tensile testing machines are available in the following models: 174E (manually controlled), 177PC (PC-controlled), and 177PLC (PLC-controlled).

They are available in various lengths, widths, heights, and capacities to meet your company’s specific testing requirements.

Specifically designed for simple load testing, including testing of wire ropes, chains, cables, and similar components.

Power Unit:

  • Long-stroke hydraulic cylinder with double-acting ram. 

  • Piston head and cylinder ends fitted with low-friction seals. 

 

Load Control Console:

  • Digital display with 20 mm high-visibility characters, connected to the load cell via a shielded multi-core cable. 

  • Peak hold (freeze) function to capture the maximum applied load before reset.

  • Pressure control achieved באמצעות a control valve located at the operator’s position. 

  • START and STOP buttons. 

  • Optional data acquisition system displaying load and extension.

Load Cells:

  • Positioned between the load and the ram

  • Tension load gauge incorporating a multi-bridge strain gauge system, temperature compensation, and sealed zero balance. 

  • Calibrated in accordance with International Standard ISO 7500-1:2004
