The HT series of hydraulic universal testing machines is especially suitable for very high capacities of 1000 kN (225,000 lbf) or 2000 kN (450,000 lbf). The HT series makes loading and unloading tensile specimens easier by having the tensile test cavity located at the bottom, thanks to the actuator design.
The large size of these high-capacity machines requires installation on a lower floor level or the construction of a platform to allow access to the tensile testing area. With the actuator positioned at the top, the tension cavity is at the bottom, and the compression cavity is at the top.
This actuator design is not only convenient but also saves money during commissioning and installation by eliminating the need to embed the testing machine into the floor or build a wooden platform.
